His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission has been honoured with the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award for Outstanding Voluntary Work in the Community - 2015. The award was presented at a Mission’s congregation held in Birmingham on August 5, 2015. Sh. Mohinder Singh Ji Sanyojak-Chandigarh Branch informed today at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Sector 30-A, Chandigarh that this information was stated in Delhi by Rev Sandeep Khinda Ji at a special congregation organized to welcome Baba Ji and his gracious spouse Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji on their return from 9-week world salvation tour covering UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Dubai. Being a part of entourage, he was giving a detailed report of the tour.Despite rainy weather, the congregation was attended by thousands of devotees from Delhi, Greater Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh.

Described as the highest award of the United Kingdom for voluntary service, the Award was presented to His Holiness on behalf of Queen Elizabeth the Second by Lord Lieutenant Shree Paul Sabhapati, Deputy Lieutenant Simon Topman and Deputy Lieutenant Dr. S.V. Sharma. 

Other dignitaries present on the occasion included the Consul General of India Shri Jatinder Kumar Sharma and the Mayor of Sandwell Cllr Barbra Price.His Holiness described the award as a symbol of recognition of the Mission’s message of Universal Brotherhood, oneness of the mankind as also the efforts for the welfare of humanity. Baba Ji said that it was a great compliment to the tireless services rendered by the followers of the Mission in UK which he asked them to continue with greater and greater enthusiasm and spirit of dedication.The salvation tour was marked by a Youth Conference in Calgary on the theme – ‘World without Walls’ on the first day and ‘Oneness’ on the second. 

The entire preparations were made by local youth while delegates came from all over Canada and USA and Europe, Hong Kong and Australia as well. Los Angeles hosted the West Coast Samagam of America on the theme ‘Make Life a Celebration’. An exhibition ‘Lifestyle Expo’ remained a highlight of the Samagam. The other Samagams included the one at London, Atlanta, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Toronto and the Samagam of Europe at Amsterdam. A mass marriage function was held in Montreal. In Toronto, Baba Ji announced that the Second Nirankari International Samagam (NIS) would be held sometime in July or August, 2016. The first such Samagam was held in Birmingham in 2012.Addressing the congregation in Delhi, Baba Ji said that the most catching highlight of the tour was the revolution that has taken place in the life of the youth. They are not only taking active part in congregation and social welfare activities but taking the message of truth to the native citizens of those countries. 

Since they were born and brought up in those countries, so they are familiar with their culture and have no difficulty in inter-acting with those people.Baba Ji said that it was a very pleasant experience to see a large number of British, American and Canadian people participating in congregations and Samagams and expressing their views appreciating the Mission’s spiritual message and its social welfare activities. Senior functionaries, local dignitaries and representatives of religious and social organizations also came to attend congregations everywhere. Several Mayors and MPs presented proclamations and certificates of appreciation.Baba Ji said that thanks to the tireless efforts of the followers of the Mission, our message of universal brotherhood, harmony in oneness and the world without walls is being appreciated everywhere and bringing more and more people close to the Mission. He appreciated the spirit of love, affection, cooperation, devotion and dedication with which they are serving the Mission and taking its message forward.
