Madan Lal Sharma Member Parliament (Lok Sabha) Jammu Poonch Constituency while addressing a Public meeting at Rehari Jammu said that Policies and Programmes of Congress Party are people centric and pro poor.  He said that BSUP,Street Venders bill, Food Security Bill, Land Acquisition bill, MG-NREGA etc are the great examples which the world communities also adopting now .  He also appealed the Sarpanchs/ Panchs to reach Stadium to attend the Programme of Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi who has given a new vision and life to the Party.  He said that on the recommendation of Mr. Gandhi Panchayats have been given their due share and Congress is committed for improving Governance at Grass root level. Elaborating further Mr. Sharma said that BSUP (Basic Services for Urban People) underwhich Rs.2.75 lacs is given to the poor people  of Urban under BPL Category having 2 marla land for construction of houses , food security bill will provide subsidized ration to 75-80% people of the Country.  Ensuring people rights to food by this Act, no one in the Country will sleep empty stomach.  He also lauded the UPA Govt. for passage of the street vendors (Protection and Promotion of livelihood bill 2011).  He said this bill has given sigh of relief to daily bread earners who were earlier harassed by Police and other law enforcing agencies.  Mr. Sharma also informed people about the provision whereby land of a farmer can’t be acquired without his consent.  He appealed the State Government to ratify these bills and implement in J&K on top priority for benefit of poor and needy. He maintained that the Congress is the only party which can move nation forward with secular image and credentials.  Mr. Sharma asked the officers present on the occasion to resolve the grievances of the people related to road connectivity, electricity, water and other basic amenities . Prominent among present on the occasion  includes  Shri Manjit Singh Ex.Minister, D.S Langey, Anil Chopra,Kanta Bhan, Shiv Kumar Sharma, N.K Bali, Sunil Maini, Vishal Chopra, Ricky dalotra ,Rakesh Bakshi, Naveen Bali, Kuldeep Singh,Rajesh Bittu , Asim Tandon, Hukum Chand, Kamal Pradhan, O.N Koul, Anil Sharma, Sanjeev Mangu, Ramesh Billa , Pawan,Ramesh Gupta, and many more.Earlier Mr. Sharma participated in Pooja at Jain Bazar Jammu on the occasion of viserjan of Kali Mata Idol at Tawi River Panjtirthi area . He prayed that God should give good health and prosperity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in particular and Nation in general .
