Former Minister and Senior CongressLeader Manjit Singh today paid respects to Brig Rajinder Singh and remembered his sacrifice for the country.Singh attended a function organised here to remember the contribution of Brig Rajinder Singh who laid down his life for the cause of nation and saved Jammu and Kashmir.Addressing the people, he said that the youth should follow the foot step of Brig. Rajinder Singh.“It was due to the efforts and sacrifice of Rajinder Singh that J&K is the part of India,” he said, while warning those challenging accession of the State with Union of India.He said that such political parties and their leaders should desist from given statements which challenge the accession of J&K with India.He appealed the Brig Rajinder Singh should be awarded with highest award for his gallantry service for nation.Those who were present on the occasion includes Babal Gupta, Pawanjeet Singh alias Pamma, Pankaj Bhagat, Sarpanch Sham Lal, Chander Shakher, Ravinder Choudhary, Sarpanch Birij Pal, Babu Ram and others.
