Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and National secretary of party's Kisan Morcha Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal has demanded a probe by the Central Bereau of Investigation (CBI) against the "sand, land, transport, media and Drugs Mafia active in Punjab State for the past seven years". Talking with the media persons here today Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said it was not justified on the part of the Akalis to say that the mining department was the responsibility of the BJP. " Where has all the money gone ?" Questioned Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal. He condemned the arrest of two Ludhiana MLAs Balwinder Singh Bains and Simarjit Singh Bains in Ludhiana. Earlier the Bains brothers had announced to launch a movement in the state against illegal mining from Grewal said that it is very sad that instead of taking serious note of the issues, of illegal mining being raised by the two MLAs Balwinder Singh Bains and Simarjit Singh Bains and talking to them, Punjab Police have arrested them.
