Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal, convened a meeting here today at the DC Office complex to assess the progress of projects initiated under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) to enhance rural connectivity across the district.

During the meeting, the DC instructed the Xen PMGSY to ensure the completion of the construction work on Bridge 5 and Bridge 7 on the Mandi Phagla road by March 10. He also asked the Executing Agencies to implement safety measures in residential camps established for workers, including the installation of CCTV cameras, floodlights, and adequate security.

After an extensive review of all PMGSY projects, the DC directed authorities to accelerate their efforts and meet the 100 percent targets set by the Government. He stressed the importance of eliminating unnecessary delays in pending works and urged all parties involved to adhere strictly to quality standards. He stressed to develop durable assets that will ultimately benefit the local population through improved connectivity.
