Haryana Governor and Chancellor of Dr BR Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Thursday inaugurated a statue of Dr BR Ambedkar on the university campus. The event was marked by a warm welcome from Vice Chancellor Prof Archana Mishra, who presented a bouquet to Governor Shri Dattatraya.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Shri Dattatraya highlighted the immense pride associated with having an institution named after a visionary leader like Dr Ambedkar. He stated that the installation of the statue is a testament to the university’s commitment to upholding the values and principles of the Father of the Indian Constitution.
“Dr BR Ambedkar is a symbol of inspiration for all of us. He championed social justice, opposed caste discrimination, and worked tirelessly for equality and empowerment. His contribution to drafting the Indian Constitution and shaping a progressive society continues to guide us today,” said the Governor.
Vice Chancellor Prof Archana Mishra reiterated that Dr Ambedkar’s legacy remains a beacon of inspiration in the fields of social justice, education, and empowerment. She urged students and faculty members to draw motivation from his life and principles.
The event was attended by District Deputy Commissioner Dr Manoj Kumar, DCP P Prabina, and University Registrar Dr Ashutosh Mishra along with faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students.
