Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Sakshi Sawhney assured that de-addiction centers and rehabilitation centers in Amritsar district have ample supplies of medicines and facilities. She made this statement during a meeting with head of the Swami Vivekananda De-addiction Center and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Sawhney emphasized that addiction is a treatable disease and encouraged individuals to seek help at these centers. The centers provide not only free medicines but also food, skilled education, and recreational facilities to support patients in their recovery journey.

For assistance and inquiries, individuals can dial the 24-hour helpline number 1800 137 6754. Many have already benefited from this service, and Mrs. Sahni urges others to take advantage of it as well.The meeting was attended by Civil Surgeon Dr. Kirandeep Kaur, Dr. Charanjit Kaur, Dr. Neeru Bala, Dr. Rajan Arora, and Dr. Gurwinder Singh.
