Poonamdeep Kaur, a senior IAS officer from the 2013 batch, took over as the Deputy Commissioner of Faridkot today. Previously, she served as Deputy Commissioner of Fatehgarh Sahib and Barnala Districts. She was welcomed by a large number of officers, including Dr. Pragya Jain SSP and was given a guard of honor by a police contingent.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Poonamdeep Kaur expressed gratitude to the Punjab Government for the opportunity to serve historical District Faridkot,belongs to Baba Farid Ji. She emphasized providing time-bound government services, expediting development works, and ensuring transparency and speed in governance.
Poonamdeep Kaur appealed to residents of the district to cooperate with the district administration. Later, she paid obeisance at Gurdwara Tilla Baba Farid and was honored with a siropa by the managing committee.
