Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, said that Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati is one of the world's greatest legacies. He emphasized that Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati dedicated his life to promoting the country's unity, integrity, and the education of girls.
Additionally, he strongly opposed societal evils such as Sati Pratha, ostentation, untouchability, and others, advocating for societal awareness to eliminate these practices.Krishan Kumar Bedi shared these remarks at a program organized by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Haryana at Arya Senior Secondary School, Narwana, in celebration of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati's birth anniversary and Bodh Utsav.
The Cabinet Minister inaugurated the event by lighting the traditional lamp.Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi stated that Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati founded Arya Samaj and advocated for social equality and harmony among the masses. He initiated a social revolution by establishing orphanages and widows' homes, while also championing education, particularly for girls and women, throughout his life.
Maharishi Dayaand emphasized in his Jan Jagran that Om is the supreme religion for humanity, the Vedic tradition represents the greatest civilization, Hindi is the sacred language, and Aryavart is the greatest identity. He urged individuals to acquire Vedic knowledge, adopt the best way of life, and spread wisdom throughout their lives.
The Cabinet Minister said that Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati faced numerous struggles in his efforts to bring about societal change. He highlighted that the Arya Samaj has produced many educated individuals who are actively working to promote education in society. Sh. Bedi emphasized that all schools should organize similar programs to ensure that future generations gain knowledge about our history, saints, sages, and the great individuals born in the country.
