Haryana Minister of State for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Sh. Gaurav Gautam said youth will play an important role in fulfilling the vision of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi to make India a developed country by the year 2047. Therefore, the officers should make such a curriculum to create new employment opportunities for maximum number of youth under skill schemes.
The main objective of the Haryana Government is to provide employment to maximum number of youth. The government is making tireless efforts in this direction. The minister was chairing a review meeting of officials of the Department of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship and Shri Vishwakrama Skill University, Dudhola (Palwal) here today.
He said initiatives will have to be taken to implement Saksham Yojana, Drone Didi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Kalyan Nidhi Yojana in the state. Today, the youth power of Haryana is continuously progressing in sports and skill development. Drone Didi and Lakhpati Didi are unique schemes of the Central Government.
To ensure that the women of Haryana also get the benefits of these schemes, the government has prepared a framework for Drone Didi Scheme. Today, women of Haryana are becoming drone pilots and are playing an important role in spraying pesticides in agricultural fields.
Under the Drone Didi Scheme, the government has also made a provision of subsidy for purchasing drones worth Rs 8 lakh. He said he will hold a review meeting every month to review the progress of these schemes. The minister said plans are being made to build skill centers in ITIs of every district of the state and youth hostels in five districts.
A multipurpose hall will also be constructed in the ITIs. Similarly, Youth Parliament will be organized at the district level, in which 8,000 to 10,000 youths will participate from every district. He said Guru-Shishya Samman Yojana is also important. Under this, 25,000 youths will be given training.
He instructed the officials to contact as many companies and industrial units as possible to provide maximum employment to ITI students. A record of how many youths have got employment should also be prepared and he will also review it soon.
He said in the next five years, 26 ITIs will be opened in the blocks of the state, so that the youth do not face any problem in taking skill training. Additional Chief Secretary of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Sh. Vijayendra Kumar and other officials were present in the meeting.
