Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda said Haryana is the first state in the country which has taken the initiative to implement the National Education Policy by 2025 although the central government has given the target of implementing it by 2030 to all the states of the country. The Education Minister was chairing a meeting of representatives of universities of the state to implement the National Education Policy-2020 at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal (Sonipat) today.
He paid tribute to Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram by offering flowers to his statue and released the university's newsletter Shiksha on this occasion. The Education Minister said the universities of the state are doing a good job in implementing the National Education Policy.
All the Vice Chancellors should work seriously in collaboration with the Haryana Higher Education Council, so that the National Education Policy can be fully implemented on time. He said we should have experts in every subject and we all need to work together on this.
He suggested to the Vice Chancellor of Sanskrit University on making Haryanvi dialect a language, so that the glorious culture and literature of the state can be written down.He told the Vice Chancellor of SUPVA that just as Punjab and the southern states of the country have worked on their culture, art, musical instruments and folk music, in the same way, the university should also work on the culture, art, musical instruments and folk music of Haryana.
On this occasion, Additional Principal Secretary of Higher Education and Technical Education Sh. Vineet Garg said the state government is playing a leading role in implementing the National Education Policy. He said the policy will play an important role in making the country a developed nation. Universities should meet with industrialists and prepare such courses which can meet the needs of our industries.
This will also help students get employment after completing their education. Director General of Higher Education Sh. Rahul Hooda and Vice Chancellors of various universities of the state were present in the meeting.
