Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today finalized the arrangements for the state-level function to mark the Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidass Ji on February 12, 2025. Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh, Dr. Aggarwal inspected the Shobha Yatra route, ensuring all necessary arrangements were in place.
During the visit, the DC directed officials from the Municipal Corporation, PSPCL, and Police Department to focus on route cleanliness, decoration of intersections, traffic management, safety measures, uninterrupted power supply, availability of mobile toilets, and medical assistance for devotees. He emphasized that all departments must work in coordination to facilitate a smooth and safe celebration.
Following the route inspection, Dr. Aggarwal visited Satguru Ravidass Dham, Buta Mandi, where he closely reviewed the preparations for the state-level function. He urged officials to ensure meticulous arrangements for the grand event, leaving no stone unturned.
Notably, the district administration has declared a school holiday on February 11 to allow students and the public to participate in the Shobha Yatra with full devotion. The DC also held discussions with Seth Satpal Mal, Chairman of Satguru Ravidass Charitable Trust, regarding the event’s smooth execution.
Earlier, Dr. Aggarwal paid obeisance at Satguru Ravidass Dham, where the management honored him with a siropa. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to making the celebrations memorable and well-organized for all devotees.
