The meeting of the sub-committee of the Group of Ministers constituted under the chairmanship of Haryana's Development and Panchayat Minister Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar for creation of new district, tehsil and sub-tehsil in Haryana was held today and two proposals were recommended in it. The committee recommended to merge Sirsa's Ranga, Lehangewala, Mattar and Alikan villages from Kalanwali tehsil to Sirsa tehsil and merge Sonipat's Jawahra village from Gohana to Panipat district.
These proposals will be presented before Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for final approval. Urban Local Bodies Minister Sh. Vipul Goel and Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana were also present as members in the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that so far, 27 proposals have been received regarding formation of new district, tehsil and sub-tehsil. Four proposals were received earlier and recommended in the last meeting have also been sent to the Chief Minister for final approval.
While giving instructions to officers of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sh. Panwar said the Deputy Commissioners should be instructed to send the report of pending proposals regarding changing the name of the village, sub-tehsil, new tehsil, sub-division and district to the sub-committee as soon as possible.
Commissioner and Secretary of Development and Panchayat Department Dr. Amit Agrawal,Special Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department Sh. Kamlesh Bhadoo and other officers were present in the meeting.
