Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labor Minister Sh., Anil Vij today personally conducted a raid in Ambala on the Ambala-Narayangarh Road to catch overloaded vehicles. He stopped several trucks, inspected, and checked their documents. Trucks and other vehicles found with incomplete or incorrect documents were seized by the police.

In the evening, he unexpectedly reached Baldev Nagar on Narayangarh Road and started inspecting trucks. Shortly after his arrival, the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and police also reached the spot. The minister interrogated truck drivers, checked their documents, and inspected the loaded goods. Many drivers failed to present their papers, and several vehicles were found with irregularities.

Vij directed officials to take strict action against such violations, leading to the seizure of multiple trucks by the police.

12 Vehicles Found with Incomplete Documents During the Raid

While speaking to media persons, Anil Vij revealed that he had recently visited Rajasthan and instructed the RTA there to take action against overloaded vehicles. He also directed the Ambala RTA to act, as overloaded vehicles are a major cause of accidents. To ensure compliance, he decided to conduct an inspection himself.

During the raid, around a dozen vehicles were found transporting soil without proper permits, several drivers lacked licenses, and some vehicles were overweight or oversized. One driver was suspected of being intoxicated and was sent for a medical test.

Vij firmly stated, "As long as I am here, no vehicle without proper documents will be allowed on the road." He instructed all department officials to set up checkpoints and rigorously inspect vehicle documents.

He also emphasized that this action will continue in the future. Recently, he had also conducted a surprise inspection at the Rohtak Electricity Board, directing officials to resolve complaints promptly.
