Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda has said Haryana has completed all preparations to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) in the state. Haryana has taken all necessary steps to take the National Education Policy to the school level. 

India will become ‘Vishwaguru’ with this policy and it will bring special changes in the field of education. The Education Minister held a meeting with senior officials of the Education Department today regarding the National Education Policy at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Sh. Dhanda said Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini and former Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal have a dream that the youth of Haryana should not be limited to Hindi and English, but should also learn international languages. 

The department is considering teaching foreign languages. He said Haryana has always been scientifically, culturally and economically strong, but it has also suffered during the tenure of other parties, but now, the government has a special focus on education. Those who have destroyed the education system can make any allegation but the new education policy is bringing a big change in the country.  

Along with increasing the number of students in schools and removing the shortage of teachers, work is also being done to improve the school environment. The Education Minister said various aspects of the education policy have been discussed in today's meeting, and the shortcomings will be removed. 

Haryana will do remarkable work to implement the education policy in one year. The biggest aspect of the National Education Policy is to introduce new books according to the new syllabus. The NEP-aligned books have been introduced in schools from Class 1 to 3. 

From the new academic session, NEP-aligned books of Class 6 will be in accordance with the new policy. He said the way of teaching of teachers will also change in the new policy. Teachers are also being trained for this. The Education Department is tracking every child under the Nipun program.

During the meeting, the work done in school education under NEP-2020 was reviewed, which was divided into six different groups. The status of completion of each task was thoroughly analyzed and further steps were determined. 

In the review of the higher education sector, the implementation of 16 important tasks of higher education under NEP was discussed. The Education Minister also praised the significant achievements made in school education in Haryana. The minister emphasized the importance of the three-language formula. The meeting focused on improving the quality of teachers.

Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department Sh. Vineet Garg, Director General of Technical Education Department Sh. Prabhjot Singh, Director of Higher Education Department Sh. Rahul Hooda, Director of Secondary Education Sh. Jitender Kumar, Rajiv from Gurugram University, Director Rishi Goyal, Sunil Bajaj, Indu from SCERT, District Education Officer, Gurugram, Kuldeep Mehta, Special Invitee Members and other officers were present in the meeting.
