Haryana Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao stated that the state government is working to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to the people of Haryana. In the past 100 days, the current government has implemented several key decisions related to health sector.

She shared that the age limit of 18 years for the pension provided to individuals suffering from hemophilia and thalassemia has now been removed. People affected by these conditions will receive a pension of Rs 3,000 per month, which will be in addition to any other pension they may already be receiving.

Kumari Aarti Singh Rao also informed that the current government began offering free dialysis services to kidney disease patients in the state on October 18, 2024. This has been a significant step in improving healthcare. In just three months, nearly 20,000 people have benefited from this service.

The Health Minister stated that the "100-day TB Eradication Campaign," launched from Panchkula on December 7, aims to make the state TB-free by December 2025. The campaign is progressing rapidly, and the government is confident that the target will be achieved by the set deadline.

Regarding other initiatives in the health sector, she mentioned that a trauma center has been constructed in Narnaul at a cost of Rs 6.57 crore. Additionally, a PHC has been built in Bohatwas Ahir, Rewari, at a cost of Rs 6.80 crore.

She also shared that approval has been granted for the construction of 83 sub-health centers and 22 block public health units at a cost of Rs 57 crore. A 50-bed hospital has been constructed in Saraswati Kheda Bhatt Majra village, Kurukshetra, at a cost of Rs 19.76 crore. Furthermore, the foundation stone for a 100-bed Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in Assandh, Karnal district, was laid, with an estimated cost of Rs 76.20 crore.

In terms of strengthening health education and infrastructure, the Health Minister revealed that the DNB degree program in Pathology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Hospital Administration will soon be introduced at Panchkula Civil Hospital.
