The celebration of Republic Day by educational Institutions and Government Departments across Jammu Division was marked with spirited tricolor hoisting and festive activities.  

Central Jail Kotbhalwal : Republic Day was celebrated in Central Jail Jammu Kotbhalwal with great joy and enthusiasm. The celebration started with the hoisting of the National Flag by Sr. Superintendent Veerinder Kumar Bhat, who also spoke on the importance of the Republic Day. 

A Colorful cultural programme was presented by Jail staff, CISF and inmates. Bara Kahana was also arranged for inmates on the eve of Republic Day. Sweets were also distributed among the inmates as well as to staff members. Officers/officials of Jail and CISF were present at this occasion.

Shram Bhawan Jammu : The Labour Commissioner Office celebrated the Republic Day with zeal and patriotic fervor at Shram Bhawan here, where Labour Commissioner, J&K Charandeep Singh unfurled the National Flag and took salute.

Addressing the gathering, the Labour Commissioner emphasised the importance of workers in nation-building and reaffirmed the department's commitment towards safeguarding workers' rights and fostering healthy employer-employee relationships across the UT.

The event also marked the launch of the inaugural edition of the 'Shram Patrika' Newsletter and Labour Department Calendar-2025 by the Labour Commissioner. Moreover, in recognition of their outstanding performance, certificates of appreciation were also awarded to six Labour Department officials.

District Court Doda : The District Court Doda celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic zeal. The event commenced with a grand flag-unfurling ceremony attended by staff members and the legal fraternity.

Additional District Session Judge (Fastrack/NIA), Sudesh Sharma, along with senior officials, graced the occasion and delivered inspiring speeches. They emphasized the significance of the day and the importance of upholding the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.

Sudesh Sharma underscored the sacrifices of freedom fighters, who made this nation independent and republic. The celebrations also featured a parade by security personnel, showcasing their discipline and dedication to serving the nation. 

The event served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the responsibility of every citizen to contribute to the nation's progress and unity. In addition, a cultural dance program was performed by students, showcasing their enthusiasm to celebrate this auspicious day. The students were felicitated with appreciation, prizes, and recognition by the court.

District Jail, Jammu : The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated in presence of Jail Staff, CRPF Personnel and Jail Inmates  in District Jail Jammu. Celebration started by unfurling of the National Flag by Superintendent Jail Harish Kotwal followed by singing of the National Anthem.

Superintendent Jail addressed the gathering and the participants took the pledge to contribute in nation building devotedly. The Jail Inmates and Jail Staff presented a colourful cultural programme on the occasion.

Directorate of Health Services Jammu : The 76th Republic Day was celebrated in the Directorate of Health Services Jammu with great patriotic fervour. Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Rakesh Magotra unfurled the Tricolour in presence of all officers and officials of the Directorate, followed by singing of the National Anthem.

A Plantation drive EK PEDH DESH KE NAAM was organized in collaboration with the Department of Urban Forestry Division Jammu under direct supervision of DHS Jammu and DFO Jammu Ashwani Kumar and his team. Flag unfurling ceremonies were also held in the Health Facilities and offices across Jammu division.

Directorate of Horticulture Jammu : The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with a flag unfurling ceremony at the Directorate of Horticulture Complex, Talab Tillo, Jammu. Director Horticulture Jammu C. L. Sharma unfurled the Tricolour which was followed by singing of the National Anthem in presence of Joint Director Horticulture and other officers and officials of the department.

Director stressed the importance of national unity and national integration. He said, may this occasion strengthen our efforts towards preserving the ideals of our Constitution and working towards a stronger and prosperous India.

District Court Kathua : The 76th Republic Day was celebrated today with great zeal and enthusiasm at the District Court Complex (Headquarters), Kathua. The event commenced at 8:55 AM with the unfurling of the National Flag by Principal District & Sessions Judge Jatinder Singh Jamwal, who is also the Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). 

This was followed by the recitation of the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervor. The celebration witnessed the active participation of esteemed dignitaries, including the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kathua, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua, Special Mobile Magistrate, Kathua, District Mobile Magistrate, Kathua and Munsiff JMIC, Kathua.

Officers from the Prosecution Department, the President of the Bar Association, Advocates, Panel lawyers of DLSA, police personnel, staff members and para-legal volunteers also attended the event, showcasing unity and dedication toward the nation.

JK SCERT : The State Council of Educational Research and Training, Divisional Office Jammu celebrated 76th Republic Day with patriotism and gusto. Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director SCERT J&K wished everyone a joyous Republic Day celebration.

The National Flag was unfurled by Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT J&K, Divisional Office Jammu, marking the beginning of the celebration. Flag unfurling was followed by rendition of the National Anthem by the staff members.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University : Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) celebrated 76th Republic Day with patriotic fervor, enthusiasm. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Pragat Kumar, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of upholding democratic values, fostering innovation, and contributing to nation-building. The program featured a variety of cultural and patriotic performances, including a mesmerizing dance showcasing India’s diversity, a choir singing inspirational patriotic songs, and a play highlighting the importance of unity and social harmony.

IIM Jammu : The Indian Institute of Management Jammu celebrated the 76th Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The Republic Day ceremony commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the tricolor National Flag by Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu followed by a stirring rendition of the National Anthem. The vibrant program showcased a variety of student performances reflecting India’s cultural richness and patriotic fervor.

Directorate of Sheep Husbandry : Republic Day was celebrated at Sheep Husbandry Complex, Jammu. Director  Dr. Syed Moin-ul-Haq unfurled the National Flag followed by the National Anthem.  All the Officers/Officials of the Department attended the event.

Directorate of Tourism : The Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, marked the Republic Day with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. Vikas Gupta, Director Tourism, Jammu hoisted the National Flag in the presence of officers and officials of the department.

Army Camp Gai Dessa : The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and patriotism at Army Camp Gai, Dessa. The event was graced by Chief Guest Vishal Kumar, SHO PS Dessa, Guest of Honor Captain 10 RR Camp Gai, and Special Guest Hiteshwar Thakur and  Incharge E-Governance Centre GP Gai. 

The celebrations commenced with a warm welcome by the Company Commander of 10 RR Camp Gai Dessa, who expressed his gratitude to the audience for their participation. Hiteshwar Thakur, Incharge Model E-Governance, delivered an insightful lecture on the significance of Republic Day and the fundamental rights of citizens.

The Chief Guest also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of citizens' rights and the relevance of Republic Day in fostering national unity and democracy. The presence of locals, along with Ganesh Singh, R.E.K from Govt. GUPS Gai Dessa, added a sense of community to the celebrations.

The highlight of the event was the vibrant cultural performances by schoolchildren, who showcased their talents through various patriotic and cultural programs. Their performances reflected the rich cultural heritage of India and instilled a sense of pride among the audience.
