The 76th Republic Day was celebrated across all the District Court Complexes (DCCs) of Kashmir Valley, during which the respective Principal District and Sessions Judges (PD&SJs) unfurled the national flag and took salute at the march-past.
In Srinagar, District Judiciary Srinagar in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, celebrated the 76th Republic Day at the District Court Complex, Srinagar, with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The event was held under the chairmanship of Jaffer Hussain Beg, Chairman DLSA Srinagar and Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar. The celebrations began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Jaffer Hussain Beg, followed by a solemn salute to the guards, symbolizing the unity and integrity of the nation.
PD&SJ emphasized the significance of Republic Day and the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution. He lauded the role of the legal fraternity in upholding these principles and highlighted their contributions to shaping the nation's future.
The event brought together Judicial Officers of District Judiciary Srinagar, Officers of the Prosecution Department, Officer on Special duty from the Department of Information and Public relation, Members of the Bar, the Assistant Commandant of CRPF Battalion 144, officials from the Roads & Buildings Department, Treasury, ministerial court staff, DLSA staff, Legal Aid Defence Counsels (LADC) and others.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to officers & Officials of District Judiciary Srinagar and DLSA Srinagar for their exemplary service.
In Budgam, Republic Day was celebrated by District Judiciary Budgam in collaboration with DLSA Budgam, with great fervor and enthusiasm at the District Court Complex, Budgam. The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal District & Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA, Budgam), O.P Bhagat, who also took the salute of the guards, echoing the pride and honor that comes with this momentous occasion.
The event was attended by Imran Hussain Wani, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Budgam; Easar Ul Nabi, Special Mobile Magistrate Budgam and Tasneem Kawoosa (JMIC/Munsiff) Ist Class Judicial Magistrate.
The participation of Officers of the Prosecution Department, members of the Bar Association Budgam, Officers and ministerial Court staff, Staff members of DLSA, Budgam, members of the Legal Aid and Defense Counsel (LADC) and others added a diverse and dynamic dimension to the event.
The Principal District & Sessions Judge in his address emphasized the importance and significance of Republic Day in the legal context. His words resonated with the audience, echoing the principles of justice, equality, and the rule of law that form the bedrock of our democratic nation.
A similar kind of unfurling National Flag ceremony also took place at the JJB Budgam, Tehsil levels of District Budgam wherein Chairpersons of TLSCs hoist the National Flags and also took the salute of the guards.
In Baramulla, the District Judiciary Baramulla celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at District Court Complex Baramulla where Jawad Ahmad, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla unfurled the National Flag.
A contingent of Police and BSF presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour on the occasion. The celebration was attended by Amarjeet Singh Lengay, First Additional District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla; Mir Qayoom, Special Judge NDPS Cases; Majid Farooq, Sub-Judge Baramulla; Javid Ahmad Pary, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Baramulla; Imran Hanief, Special Mobile Magistrate Baramulla; Altaf Ahmad, Principal Magistrate, JJB Baramulla and Neelofer, President Bar Association Baramulla.
In Ganderbal, District Judiciary Ganderbal, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor by unfurling the national flag.
The event was held at District Court premises Ganderbal during which Abdul Nasir, Pr. District & Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA), Ganderbal, unfurled the national flag and saluted the National flag as a mark of respect, loyalty, and dedication towards the constitution of India.
Addressing the gathering, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ganderbal, emphasized the significance of Republic Day and the role of the legal fraternity in upholding democratic values. He highlighted the significance of constitutional rights and emphasized the importance of upholding these rights, which are fundamental to the country's democratic framework.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including all Ld. Judicial Officers posted at District Headquarter Ganderbal, Public prosecutors, Bar members, staff members of court, prosecution and DLSA posted at District Headquarter Ganderbal.
In Pulwama, the 76th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor and high enthusiasm at the District Court premises Pulwama. On the occasion, Manzoor Ahmad Zargar, (Special Judge NDPS) Incharge, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge), unfurled the National Flag in the premises of the District Court Pulwama and National anthem was also recited in District Court Complex Pulwama.
He also took the salute at the March-Past in presence of all the Judicial Officers. Besides staff members of District Court Pulwama, DLSA¬ Staff, LADCs, Prosecution staff, E-court Staff, Members Bar Association Pulwama and PLVs were also present.
In addition to this all the TLSC’s associated with District Legal Services Authority Pulwama i:e Awantipore, Tral, and Pampore also unfurled the (Tri-Color) National Flag in their respective jurisdictions.
In Bandipora, District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committees Bandipora, Sumbal and Gurez and in collaboration with District Judiciary Bandipora organised a mega event to celebrate 76th Republic Day in District Court Complex Bandipora.
Chairman DLSA, Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Bandipora unfurled the National Flag. Addressing the participants, PD&SJ said that the 76th Republic Day is a moment for us to honor the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, celebrate our achievements and reaffirm our commitment to a progressive and inclusive India.
He emphasized that every citizen of our country should follow the road map as provided in the constitution for the development of the nation in socio-political and economic ways. Among others, the function was attended by Additional District and Sessions Judge Sushil Sing, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Iqbal Akhoon, Munsif Judicial Magistrate Amandeep Sing, CAO Rouful Mushtaq, District Information Officer Aadil Manzoor Wani, DySP DAR Ahmad Shafeeq, Prosecuting Officer, Assistant Prosecuting Officer, Bar President Maqsood Ahmad Bhat, and other concerned were present on the occasion.
Moreover, Munsiff Court Sumbal and Gurez also celebrated the Republic Day function at their respective headquarters and the flag was unfurled by the respective Judicial Officers.
In Shopian, on the eve of Republic Day, Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary, Chairman DLSA (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Shopian today unfurled the National Flag in the premises of District Court Complex Shopian.
The programme was attended by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Shopian, Sheikh Gowhar Hussain, Munsiff/JMIC Shopian M Waseem Mirza, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate Shopian Rameen Rashid Khan, DSP Headquarters Javaid Ahmad, Public Prosecutors, LADC Advocates, Bar President Shopian, Bar Members, Staff members of DLSA, Court Staff, and PLVs.
The Chairman DLSA (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Shopian greeted the participants on the 76th Republic Day. The appreciation certificates were also given to the best performing employees for their commendable work.
In Kulgam, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kulgam, in collaboration with the District Judiciary, Kulgam, celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at the District Court Complex, Kulgam.
The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Principal District & Sessions Judge/Chairman, DLSA Kulgam, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented by contingents of the Police and BSF, adding solemnity to the occasion.
The event witnessed the participation of dignitaries, including the Principal District & Sessions Judge/Chairman, DLSA; Secretary, DLSA Kulgam; Additional Mobile Magistrate, Kulgam; and Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Kulgam.
Other attendees included public prosecutors, the Bar President, advocates, staff of the DLSA and District Judiciary, prosecution staff, and para-legal volunteers associated with DLSA Kulgam. Additionally, similar celebrations were organized across all Tehsil Legal Services Committees in the district.
