The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, today, chaired the meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex here to review the performance of line departments and banks with regard to saturation of different government schemes in the district.

Addressing the meeting, the DDC emphasized the concerned officers and bankers for financial inclusion and saturation of various centrally sponsored schemes so that the people especially marginalized sections of the community get benefited at large.

She directed all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with greater coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets of financial inclusion, besides, generation of employment for unemployed youth of the district.

The DDC further directed banks for early disposal of financial assistance cases and instructed line departments to sponsor cases to respective bank branches strictly as per service area, within the stipulated time frame.

Ayushi stressed the need for grassroots awareness of financial and social security schemes sponsored by the Government and directed the departments to hold awareness camps for the people in coordination with respective MLAs.

She directed the bankers and line departments to maximize the coverage of social security schemes in the district and enroll Asha Workers, Anganwadi Workers, MGNREGA and other marginalized workers so that they can be benefitted in large.

While highlighting the overall performance for FY 2024-25 under annual district credit plan, Lead District Manager, Kupwara, Tariq Ahmad Jan informed the house that achievements under ACP 2024-25 for the district stood at Rs.1276 Crores till the end of second quarter which constitutes 78% against target of Rs.1637  Crores.

The achievements under priority sector advances were to the tune of Rs.560 Crores against target of Rs.1411 Crore for ACP 2024-25 which constitutes 40% while as under non-priority sector the achievements are to the tune of Rs.716 Crores against target of Rs.226 Crores which constitutes 317%.

Rs.166.38 crore have been disbursed by the banks amongst 10021 beneficiaries under PM Mudra Yojana scheme with J&K Bank being the main contributor in credit disbursement. Officers from line departments, representatives from different banks and other concerned were present in the meeting.
