Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Juhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy (BELA), in collaboration with Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamunanagar, successfully organized a one-day National Seminar on the topic “Advancing Pharmaceutical Research: Methodologies in Innovative Drug Delivery, Phytopharmaceuticals, and Health Care Policy Integration”.
The seminar commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Kumar Gaurav, who greeted the chief guest, guest of honor, keynote speakers, and participants. The event's chief guest, Dr. Zameer Ahmed, Director of IIIM Jammu, highlighted the significant role of phytopharmaceuticals in advancing pharmaceutical research.
He emphasized the growing importance of these natural compounds in modern drug development. Dr. Deependra Singh, Member of the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, graced the seminar as the Guest of Honor.
He stressed the need to keep pace with evolving technology, urging attendees to integrate cutting-edge advancements into their research and practice. The seminar featured insightful keynote speeches from renowned experts in the field.
Dr. Indupal Kaur from Punjab University, Dr. Ashish Baldi from MRS Punjab Technical University, and Dr. Geer M. Ishaq from University of Jammu and Kashmir contributed their pioneering research in pharmaceutical sciences and phytopharmaceuticals, providing valuable knowledge to the attendees.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks from the Director of college, Dr. Shailesh Sharma. He emphasized the importance of such programs in enhancing participants' knowledge in specialized areas of pharmaceutical research.
The seminar was meticulously organized by Prof. Priyanka Kriplani and Dr. Geeta Deswal, and received appreciation from the management committees of both participating colleges. Looking ahead, both institutions expressed interest in continuing these collaborative programs to further enhance knowledge sharing in the pharmaceutical domain.
