The district administration has planned to involve fine arts students from various colleges in the beautification and transformation project of Burlton Park. This initiative will provide students an opportunity to showcase their artistic talents, with their designs becoming part of the park’s aesthetic appeal.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, along with Assistant Commissioner (UT) Sunil Phogat, reviewed the ongoing works at Burlton Park. During a meeting with principals and representatives of various colleges, Dr. Aggarwal said that the district administration is developing Burlton Park as a sports hub and a key attraction in the city.

He emphasized that this project aims to give the youth a platform to display their art, skills, and creativity. Dr. Aggarwal stated that the park will feature captivating wall paintings, sculptures, and landscaping, both inside and outside its premises.

He added that in the first phase, competitions will be organized among students for wall painting designs, and the selected designs will be painted on the walls of Burlton Park. Similarly, students' ideas will also be incorporated into the creation of sculptures and landscaping.

The Deputy Commissioner assured that students participating in the beautification of the park will be encouraged and appreciated by the administration. He mentioned that the initiative is not only aimed at enhancing the park’s beauty but also at fostering a sense of community participation, particularly among the youth.
