The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today chaired a meeting with revenue officers in order to review the progress and status of various online and offline revenue services delivery in the district.
The review focused on delivery of online services through Jan Sugam Portal and Revenue Plus Portal wherein the current status of applications was taken stock of and necessary directions issued to tehsildars to dispose the applications promptly.
Various other revenue matters including JK Samadhan, verification of online scanned records, digitised jamabandies and cadastral maps, progress of data capture of Phase 2 of 11th Agriculture Census, status of applications on Auto Appeal Portal, migrant grievances, status of Svamitva, details of landless families, etc were also reviewed.
The DC instructed Tehsildars to provide services including delivery of various types of certificates and documents, within the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) and other extant rules, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services to the public.
He warned against any delay in the provision of services outside PSGA. He also instructed officers to improve the performances under other revenue matters immediately and simplify procedures in the issuance of services.
Priority must be given to the prompt deliverance of all services to the public without waiting for the upper limit of set timelines under the Act, Shahid Saleem emphasized on the occasion.
To improve efficiency and transparency, officers were urged to adopt a proactive approach to address public grievances for resolving the public affairs. ADC, Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACR, DIO Shopian and Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars attended the meeting.
