DC Samba Rajesh Sharma Leads Health Review Meeting to Boost Healthcare Services in the District

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba, Rajesh Sharma, today chaired a crucial District Health Review Meeting at the DC Office Complex, reaffirming the administration's commitment to enhancing healthcare services in the region.

The meeting featured a detailed review of the functioning and performance of the health department, led by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Samba, Dr. Vidhi Bhatiyal. Key health initiatives and programs discussed included the National Program for Control of Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes, Cancer, and Stroke (NPCCH), annual Infant Death Review (IDR), Maternal Death Review (MDR), ASHA worker functionality, the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, and the 100 Days on Tuberculosis (TB) campaign.

The performance of healthcare facilities, including the District Hospital Samba, Community Health Centers (CHCs), and Primary Health Centers (PHCs), was thoroughly evaluated. Dr. Anju Bala, District Health Officer, presented updates on the NPCCH program, while Dr. Kamlesh Kumari provided an overview of the district's IDR and MDR status.

Attendees at the meeting included PO ICDS Subash; ACD, Mahmood; DPO Ranjeet; CEO Keval Krishan; XEN; BMOs; and officials from health and various other departments. The DC emphasized the importance of providing high-quality healthcare services to the people of the district and directed officials to ensure the effective implementation of all health initiatives. 

Officers from the District Health Society also participated in the meeting. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vidhi Bhatiyal, CMO Samba.
