A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on National Education Policy-2020 was organized at the Rayat Bahra University. Avinash Rai Khanna, a senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former MP (Rajya Sabha), was the Chief Guest and Des Raj Sharma, National Mentor of Kendriya Vidyalya, Navodya and all CBSE Schools, was the keynote speaker.
The guests were accorded an affectionate welcome by Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University. Des Raj Sharma in his address said that NEP 2020 envisions a shift from a traditional, rigid, and centralized educational system to a more dynamic, flexible, and inclusive one, promoting a culture of lifelong learning and preparing students for a rapidly changing world.
Khanna, in his address underlined the significance of faculty development programmes. He said Faculty development programs (FDPs) are important because they help educators grow professionally, improve teaching and learning, and promote collaboration and innovation.
They also help academic institutions succeed and maintain their reputation. Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra said the FDPs are integral to the continuous growth and success of teachers, as well as the positive impact on their students.
