Haryana's Industry & Commerce and Environment & Forest Minister Sh. Rao Narbir Singh said officers should be accountable towards the public and ensure resolution of people's problems on a priority basis so that people do not have to make unnecessary rounds of their offices.

He was presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee in Faridabad on Monday. A total of 18 complaints were placed in the committee meeting, out of which 12 complaints were resolved promptly and the concerned officers were directed to take necessary action for the resolution of the remaining six complaints.

Sh. Rao Narbir Singh wished the people of the district a Happy New Year along with greetings on Lohri and Makar Sankranti festival and wished everyone a bright future. He said the Haryana Government is working by dedicating itself to public service and setting a goal for the upliftment of every section of society.

While hearing the complaints in the meeting, Sh. Rao Narbir Singh said officers and employees should take steps towards resolving complaints when they receive them offline or online and instead of repeatedly raising objections on any file, they should inform the complainant about the prescribed rules only once and ensure that the complaints are resolved.

While hearing a complaint related to the Civil Surgeon and Police Commissioner in the meeting, he directed to constitute an inquiry committee under the chairmanship of ADC on the demand of the complainant and provide relief to the complainant.

In another complaint, the Industry Minister took cognizance of the complaint and ordered to refer it to the State Crime Branch. While hearing a complaint related to the District Senior Town Planner, the Industry Minister ordered the concerned Tehsildar in the WTC area not to register any registry in the said designated area.

MLAs Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Sh. Dhanesh Adlakha, Sh. Satish Phagna and Sh. Raghubir Singh Tewatia were also present in the meeting.
