MLA from Central Assembly constituency Dr Ajay Gupta organized a camp to provide the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in his office located at Hathi Gate. A team of all officers and employees participated in the camp to provide the benefits of this scheme to the needy people. To avail the benefits of this scheme, the needy people took the forms from the officers of the team present on the spot.
To provide the benefits of this scheme, the officers and employees present on the spot got the forms filled by the needy people. From 11:30 am today, the officers and employees started getting the forms filled by the people. Today, about 100 beneficiaries filled the forms. On this occasion, MLA Dr Ajay Gupta said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the needy people are given an amount of Rs 2.5 lakh to build the roof, room, kitchen and bathroom of their house.
In this, an amount of one and a half lakh rupees is allotted by the Central Government and one lakh rupees by the Punjab Government. He said that the main purpose of organizing this camp is that the officers and employees present in the camp can provide information to the needy people to complete whatever formalities are required to avail the benefits of this scheme.
He said that to avail the benefits of this scheme, the needy people should bring their family's voter card, copy of the transfer along with the registry of the vacant plot and house, if there is no registry of the plot and house and if the house comes under the red line, then the old electricity bill of the house and the report of the Patwari of the house, income certificate up to 3 lakhs received from the Suvidha Kendra, copy of SE, BC and OBC caste certificate, no need for general caste certificate, applicants for the scheme should not have a permanent house anywhere in the country and other necessary documents and an affidavit.
MLA Dr Gupta said that earlier also the Government of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann organized camps called 'Sarkar Aai Aapke Dwar'. This camp has been specially organised for this purpose. He said that today all the needy people who have filled the forms to avail the benefits of this scheme will be continuously checked by the volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party of Central Assembly constituency.
He said that after a month he will once again organise a camp for this scheme. A list of the number of people who have got the benefit of this scheme will also be released in that camp. MLA Dr Ajay Gupta said that if any needy person is harassed after filling the form, then departmental action will also be taken against that officer.
On this occasion, Aam Aadmi Party volunteers, Awas Yojana Superintendent Loveleen Sharma, clerks who distribute and fill the forms, sanitary inspectors, building inspectors and patwaris of the area were also present. The needy people who filled the forms under this scheme thanked MLA Dr Ajay Gupta.
