Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday inaugurated a 2-day capacity building workshop for officers/employees of Haryana Vidhan Sabha at Mahatma Gandhi State Public Administration Institute in Sector 26, Chandigarh. Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan and Director, Parliamentary Democracy Research and Training Institute of Lok Sabha, Smt. Juby Amar also remained present during this inauguration programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Vidhan Sabha serves as the temple of democracy, with its employees being the fundamental pillars that support this institution. He said that employees are the cornerstone of any organization, and the strength of an institution is reflected in the competence of its workforce.
The Chief Minister said that each one of us has an important role in running this important institution (Vidhan Sabha) smoothly. He said that the loyalty, dedication of all of you is the basis of the strength and credibility of this institution. Therefore, each one of you should focus on continuously enhancing their skills to contribute more effectively to the institution's growth, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister said that this training programme will prove effective in achieving the goal of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi to make India a developed nation by 2047. We are living in the digital age, where lakhs of people watch the proceedings of the Vidhan Sabha live through virtual platforms.
Those watching these proceedings should witness the proficiency of our work and the efficiency with which we operate, he remarked.Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that this training programme is not only aimed at personal development but also at equipping us with the skills to work in the best interest of the state.
We must fulfill our roles in public welfare initiatives with impartiality. It is our collective responsibility to ensure transparency in the functioning of the Assembly, he said.
We should focus on adopting a citizen-centric approach-CM
The Chief Minister said that everyone should adopt a citizen-centric approach. He said that this workshop will prove to be effective in making everyone proficient in the task of taking every complex process to the people in a simple way.
Just as we strive to improve every system in our home, similarly, whenever we identify a deficiency at our workplace, we must take steps to correct it, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

Speaking on the occasion Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan said that each one of us have to make ourselves proficient so that we can play an important role in the decisions taken in the Assembly for the betterment of the people of the state.
In this workshop, guidance of experts from various fields will be provided in two days. This will increase the skills of officers and employees and will increase the efficiency of the Assembly Secretariat, he said.
Sh. Harvinder Kalyan said that the legislature is important in the democratic system. Haryana Assembly is the center point of the work of the legislature. Therefore, it is very important for the employees of that important institution to be efficient in their work, he said.
The Speaker said that the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state are placed in the esteemed House. He emphasized that the officers and employees working in the Assembly Secretariat play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of legislative work. The more proficient we become in our work, the more the members of the Assembly will benefit from our expertise, he said.
Sh. Harvinder Kalyan said that in this era of technology, the officers and employees working in the assembly have to play their role in further strengthening the work of the paperless assembly.
