Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Friday paid his humble floral tribute to Mata Savitribai Phule on her birth anniversary, remembering her as a relentless crusader for social justice, equality, and education for all. Shri Bandaru Dattatraya highlighted the enduring legacy of Mata Savitribai Phule, who valiantly fought against caste-based discrimination and championed the rights of men and women from weaker sections of society.

“Mata Savitribai Phule was not only the first female teacher of India but also a beacon of hope and empowerment for generations to come. Her commitment to the cause of education and social reform remains an inspiration to us all,” said Shri Dattatraya.

Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya called upon citizens to draw lessons from her life and work towards fostering an inclusive and equitable society. He emphasized the need to continue her mission of eradicating discrimination and promoting education as a tool for empowerment.

Shri Dattatraya said that Savitribai Phule, who was born on January 3, 1831, was a pioneering social reformer and a key figure in the fight for gender and caste equality. Her contributions laid the foundation for progressive change in Indian society, making her an enduring symbol of courage and resilience.

Shri Dattatraya urged everyone to commemorate Mata Savitribai Phule’s legacy by supporting initiatives aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for all, irrespective of caste, gender, or background.
