Paying floral tributes to the Sahibazada Zorawar Singh Ji and Fateh Singh Ji and Mata Gujri Ji at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib on Saturday, the Chief Secretary, Punjab, K A P Sinha said that the martyrdom of the younger sons of Sahib-e-Kamaal, Guru Gobind Singh and Mother Mata Gujri Ji, will always be remembered as the unparalleled and supreme sacrifices in the history of world.

After paying obeisance at Gurdwara Sahib, he said that the entire history, scripted by the Tenth Master Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji by fighting against the oppression of Mughals inspired us always to stand for righteousness and truth.

He said that the very younger age of both the Sahibzadas of 9 years and 7 years and bravery shown by them is unparalleled. He said that this sacred soil ever witnessed the martyrdom of Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri Ji and inspired us to respect the faith in Guru Granth Sahib's teachings.    

The Chief Secretary said that the sacrifices will remain eternal across the world as a part of unwavering faith. He said that the historical martyrdom also instills courage in our youth to fight against oppression. He further said that the martyrdom also gives us a lesson that we should not oppress anyone and allow everyone to walk on the path of right and truth.

He said that it is necessary that we should make our children more aware about this unparalleled martyrdom so that our young generation can make a pivotal contribution in creating a healthy society by eradicating evils from within the state. 

On this occasion, he sat in a row in the langar hall of Gurudwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib and partook langar. Religious and historical books were also presented to him by the Manager of Gurdwara Sahib. 

Responding to a query of the media persons, he assured that the Punjab Government will remain instrumental for the overall development of this historical and sacred place always by overcoming all the issues.

District Administrative Officers including Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind, SSP Dr. Ravjot Grewal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Geetika Singh, SDM Fatehgarh Sahib Arvind Kumar, SDM  Khamanon Manrit Rana, DSP  Fatehgarh Sahib Sukhnaj Singh, DSP  Karnail Singh, Tehsildar Fatehgarh Sahib Vishal Verma.
