Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini while addressing the people during the Dhanyawad programme held at Indri Assembly Constituency on Monday expressed gratitude to the people of the State for showing faith in BJP’s policies. He said that by electing the BJP government for the third consecutive term, the people have rejected anti-public forces.
He criticised those who attempted to exploit concerns about the Constitution for political gain, stating that Congress claimed the Constitution was in danger, but the reality is that Congress itself is in crisis. The people of this country have rejected Congress, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister while taking a dig at Congress, shared how their leaders promised jobs during elections in exchange for votes. ‘Congress ke neta elections ke dauran ye keh rahe the ki, 50 vote hamein de do, ek naukri denge, lekin rajya ki janta ne is soch ko haraya.
Janta ne un logon ko elections se pehle hi bahar kar diya jo naukriyon mein bandarbant karne ki baat kar rahe thae’ (Congress leaders said they would provide one job for every 50 votes. But the people of Haryana rejected such opportunistic thinking.
Voters decisively ousted those who planned job allocations for personal gain even before elections, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini. He praised the people for endorsing BJP’s policies of inclusive welfare, in alignment with Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 and uplifting the poorest sections first.
The Chief Minister said that behind every welfare scheme, the motto of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ remains the key. He said that in line with this, holistic development of the state is ensured while upholding the spirit of ‘‘Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek’. He said that the present state government has provided government jobs to lakhs of youth in Haryana on merit, ending the age-old ‘Parchi-Kharchi’ practice.
Nayab Saini, while sharing the remarkable progress Haryana has made over the past decade, assured that in the third term, the present state government will accelerate development threefold. He said that this Dhanyawad programme at Indri Constituency will certainly serve as a catalyst to propel Indri’s growth in a new direction and with renewed momentum.
The Chief Minister said that during the elections, Congress and its allies had nothing to say. During Congress rule, they spent 55 years neglecting the poor, relying only on empty slogans like ‘Garibi Hatao’. In contrast, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi delivered on promises made and went beyond them, achieving tangible results over the past decade, he said.
During Congress’ 10-year rule, only Rs. 391 crore was spent in Indri, whereas we spent Rs. 1,300 crore over the same period
Highlighting the difference in developmental work done during the Congress tenure in the last decade with BJP, the Chief Minister said that during Congress’ 10-year rule, only Rs. 391 crore was spent on development in Indri, whereas the present State Government has spent Rs. 1,300 crore over the same period.
He said that earlier, funds were misused due to corruption, depriving the poor of benefits. But the people have rejected such corrupt and nepotistic politics," he said. Dismissing Congress’ claims of faulty EVMs, the Chief Minister said, it was not the EVMs that were faulty, but Congress’ policies, which led people to reject them.
