Acting on the directives of Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Nayab Singh Saini, the state government has initiated swift action to deliver on its Sankalp and projects slated for completion within its 100-day agenda. The Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi today reviewed the 40 key Sankalp, eight important projects for inauguration or foundation-laying, and the progress of projects worth over Rs.100 crore with Additional Chief Secretaries and Administrative Secretaries here today.
Eight significant projects have been identified for inauguration within the 100-day period. These include the Kurukshetra Elevated Track, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health Sciences in Kutail (Karnal), Pandit NekiRam Sharma Government Medical College in Bhiwani, Government Medical College in Jind, the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway Project, the expansion of BharatNet services for village IT infrastructure, the District Civil Hospital in Gurugram, and the Karnal-Yamunanagar Railway Line.
Dr. Joshi directed officials to review department-specific projects, finalize timelines for their completion, and compile a list of tasks that have been completed or are nearing completion. This exercise aims to streamline efforts and ensure the fulfillment of promises within the stipulated time frame.
Dr. Joshi said that a special cleanliness drive will be launched across parks, schools, colleges, government offices, bus stands, and markets etc to improve public hygiene. Additionally, departments were instructed to implement e-office systems to facilitate seamless file processing. Ministerial staff will be provided with training wherever necessary to adopt this digital system.
Dr. Joshi highlighted the importance of reviewing cases of employees aged 50 years and above for compulsory retirement and directed the formation of review committees. Similar measures will be implemented in state boards and corporations, along with the establishment of appellate committees.
Addressing legal challenges, Dr. Joshi expressed concern over pending contempt of court cases and urged officials to resolve these matters on a priority basis. He also informed that a state litigation policy is being developed to streamline legal processes and significantly reduce disputes related to employees.
