Punjab Horticulture and Defence Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat today inaugurated the rejuvenation project for the Ram Leela Ground at Mohalla Kabir Vihar, a long-awaited development costing ₹26.59 lakh. Accompanied by Chairman District Planning Committee Amritpal Singh, the Minister highlighted that the project addresses the long-standing demands of residents to revamp the park, which was previously in a deplorable state.

The revamped facility will include a modern stage for Ram Leela events, a podium for audiences, new washrooms, a boundary wall, and extensive beautification works. Mr. Bhagat emphasized that the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has released sufficient grants to ensure seamless development projects across the state.

“This park will soon become a center of attraction and a testament to the government’s commitment to creating a ‘Rangla Punjab,’” he stated, assuring residents of more development initiatives in the coming days. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amritpal Singh added that the state government is focused on new projects to uplift urban infrastructure, ensuring that Jalandhar leads in development. He announced more projects in future.

Prominent attendees at the event included Block President Balbir Singh, Narinder Singh, Deepak, Rajesh Bhagat, Surah Gill, Sachin Rana, and Gurjeet Singh Ghuman, who praised the project as a significant step toward enhancing community facilities.
