Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has honoured Mohit Dugg, a Junior Engineer with PUDA for his accomplishment at WPC World Powerlifting Championship held recently in USA.
Mohit has has put Jalandhar on the global map by clinching the Silver medal at the WPC World Powerlifting Championship 2024 in Chicago last month, featuring top athletes from 18 countries, including the USA, Canada, Australia, and England.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal met Mohit and recieved an insight into as to how he prepared for this mega event. He stated that Mohit has participated in the highly competitive 83 kg weight category wherein he has secured second-place with a silver medal by an impressive 165 kg bench press.
Mohit informed the Deputy Commissioner that earlier in 2023, he had become a world champion, bagging the Gold medal in Manchester, England. Wishing for his bright career, the DC said that the Mohit’s achievements and his dedication will continue to inspire countless young athletes.
