Officers should ensure prompt resolution of public grievances: Arti Singh Rao

Haryana Health, Medical Education and Research, and AYUSH Minister, Arti Singh Rao, said that officers from all departments should ensure the timely delivery of the government's public welfare schemes and facilities to the people, as well as the prompt resolution of their grievances, so that the benefits of the good governance policies can reach the common people in an efficient manner.

The Minister issued these instructions while chairing the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee in Palwal on Monday. A total of 12 complaints were discussed in the meeting, of which 8 were resolved.

The Health Minister, while addressing the complaint of Rajender, a resident of village Sultanpur, regarding the non-drainage of contaminated water in the village and the closure of the path leading to his field, instructed the District Development and Panchayat Officer, along with other concerned officials, to complete the construction of the drain for water drainage by January 1. Additionally, she directed the opening of the path to the field and asked a report from the concerned officer in the next meeting.

Regarding the complaint from Saqir, the Health Minister ordered the Executive Engineer of the Panchayati Raj Department to complete the unfinished construction of the Anganwadi Bhawan in village Mithaka by February 28.

On hearing the complaint about the illegal excavation of a cremation ground in village Mamolaka by an individual, who was converting it into a pond, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao instructed the formation of a committee, chaired by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, to investigate the matter.

In response to the complaint about compensation for land from a resident of village Gharrot, the Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department clarified that this issue was very old, and the compensation was to be distributed by the concerned Land Acquisition Officer in Ambala. 

His office had no role in the distribution of the land compensation. In response, the Health Minister directed the City Magistrate to investigate the matter, and the issue was left pending until the next meeting.In addition, during the Grievances Committee meeting, instructions were given to the concerned officials to ensure that there is no negligence in processing the pensions for eligible individuals in cases related to the non-generation of pensions. 

Issues concerning dilapidated roads and piles of garbage on the roads were also raised by the attendees of the meeting. In response, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao assured that these grievances would be addressed and resolved promptly. On this occasion, MLAs Harinder Singh, Raghuvir Singh Tewatia Mohammad Israel were also present.
