A Bhoomi Pujan ceremony was organised by the Municipal Corporation in Yamunanagar for the construction of an open-air theatre and auditorium in Sector 17, to be built at a cost of Rs. 52.87 crore. Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana today attended the Bhoomi Pujan.
Sh. Rana said that this project was a result of the tireless efforts of former Chief Minister, Sh.Manohar Lal, and the present Chief Minister, Sh.Nayab Singh Saini. The construction, part of the 'Divya Nagar Yojana', is expected to be completed within 18 months.
The indoor auditorium will have a seating capacity of 1000 people in an air-conditioned environment, while the open-air theatre can accommodate 500 spectators for cultural programs and street plays, added the Minister.
