MLA from Central Assembly constituency Dr Ajay Gupta today inaugurated development works for construction of roads in Machhi Mandi, Medicine Market, Telephone Exchange and Phula Wala Bazaar area. MLA Gupta said that no road in the Central Assembly constituency will be left incomplete. He said that the work of construction of roads made of premix, CC flooring and interlocking tiles has been expedited.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is the government of the common people. By going among the people and listening to their problems, they are being resolved immediately by holding meetings with the officials. He said that the roads, street lights, sewerage system in the Central Assembly constituency are being completely repaired. Wherever there is a shortage of water, new tube wells are also being installed there.
He said that there is no shortage of funds for development works. He said that he himself is holding regular meetings with the officials of Municipal Corporation, Food Supply Department, Power Com, Police Department and other departments. In those meetings, work is also being done by issuing guidelines to the officials to provide all the basic facilities to the people and to get the development work done.
MLA Dr Gupta said that in all the wards of the Central Assembly constituency, people's problems are being heard daily and their solutions are also being found. He said that special attention is being paid to the cleanliness system. He said that the number of vehicles is being increased for door to door garbage collection.
He said that the number of garbage collection vehicles will be increased further in the coming days. MLA Dr Gupta said that all the promises made during the elections are being fulfilled. He said that people are getting continuous electricity supply and 90 percent of the people are getting zero electricity bills in their homes.
The Punjab government has given jobs to 50 thousand people in its two and a half year tenure. He said that the process of giving jobs will continue in the future as well. He said that appointment letters will soon be given to 50 people in Amritsar Municipal Corporation.
