Addressing the people present in the programme, they said today, 75 years have been completed since the Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly. This time, 'Hamara Samvidhan-Hamara Swabhiman’ campaign has been started in the country.
The Constitution contains the principles of how to run the country. It is the Constitution that makes us feel like a citizen of a free country. While the Fundamental Rights given in the Constitution become our shield and give us our rights, the Fundamental Duties given in it remind us of our responsibilities.
No country can run without a Constitution. The purpose of celebrating Constitution Day by the government is to increase the feeling of respect and reverence for the law among the citizens of the country, they added. It is our Constitution that unites India's 140 crore population of different religions and castes like a family.
All the laws of our country are made under this Constitution. All the courts of the country, including the Honorable Supreme Court, High Court, Parliament, State Legislatures, Prime Minister, Chief Minister and others work under this Constitution. In the year 2015, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi had decided to celebrate 26th November as Constitution Day.
The ministers said the country is running according to the Constitution drafted by Baba Saheb Dr. BR Ambedkar and others. His belief was that the benefits of schemes should reach the last person standing in the queue and the government is continuously working for the welfare of every section.
On this Constitution Day, we should pledge to follow our Fundamental Duties and the law of the country throughout our life. By becoming a good and responsible citizen of the country, not only the purpose of the Constitution will be fulfilled but the dream of the makers of the Constitution will also be achieved.
