Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister congratulated all the youth who have got government jobs on this auspicious day. He said that this is not any favour on youth of the state but they deserved these jobs but the none of previous governments ever thought about them. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that these youth have got jobs completely on the basis of merit.

The Chief Minister said that the entire recruitment process has been carried on in a fair and transparent manner. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he had assumed charge of office in March 2022 and after few months he got coal supply from Pachwara coal mines resumed. He said that the state has created history by purchasing Goindwal power plant owned by a private company GVK Power.

The Chief Minister said that for the first time this reverse trend has started that the government has purchased any private power plant whereas in the past the state governments used to sell their assets to the favorite individuals at ‘throw away’ prices.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this thermal plant was earlier owned by a private company GVK Power and has been purchased at a cost of Rs 1080 crore.  He exhorted the youth to avail the opportunities being offered by the state government by getting these government jobs adding that the Punjab government is leaving no stone unturned for making youth and active partner in progress and development of state.

The Chief Minister said that Punjab is a blessed land as every second village of the state has footprints of great Gurus and the state has produced valiant sons who had laid their lives for the country. He said that Punjabis are born entrepreneurs and leaders due to which they have proved their mettle across the globe.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the hard work and resilience of the Punjabis is unmatched owing to which they excel in every sphere. The Chief Minister said that the youth who were compelled by the system of previous governments to migrate abroad are now returning back which is a positive trend of reverse migration in the state.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the opposition leaders slam him just because they are envious of the pro-people being decision taken by his government.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the traditional parties are envy of him because he hails from a common family. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders who believed that they have divine right to rule the state due to which they are not able to digest that a common man is running the state efficiently. He said that these leaders have befooled the people since long but now people are not getting swayed by their misleading propaganda.

The Chief Minister said that these haughty politicians had always taken the people of state for granted due to which they were ultimately shown door by people. He said that three days ago too the people had ousted such politicians who describe them as ‘variety’. Bhagwant Singh Mann hoped that the new recruits will use their pen for helping the needy and underprivileged sections of society. He said that the newly recruited youth should ensure maximum welfare of the public so that every section of society is benefited from it.

Training his guns at his predecessors, the Chief Minister said that these leaders had built huge palaces by amassing whopping wealth by misusing their official positions. He said that the walls of these palatial palaces were high and the gates usually remained closed for the people.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders remained inaccessible to the people due to which they were ousted by the masses. The Chief Minister quipped that such functions of public importance and happiness were rare during the last regimes. However, he said that a new era has ushered now when new projects are being dedicated to the public by the government and youth are getting jobs.
