In a significant operation, the SAS Nagar Police, in collaboration with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, successfully dismantled a criminal/target killing module operated by Delhi-based gangster Manjeet Mahal, currently lodged in Tihar Jail.
Addressing the media, Sh. Deepak Pareek, IPS, SSP, SAS Nagar, stated that under the leadership of DGP Punjab, Sh. Gaurav Yadav, IPS, and DIG Ropar Range, Smt. Nilambari Jagdale, IPS, the operation led to the arrest of three key operatives of this gang.
The police team included SP (R) Manpreet Singh, DSP DB Bikramjit Singh Brar, and the In-Charge of the Anti-Narcotic Cell Sub Inspector Surjeet Singh, among others.
Arrested Individuals
1. Iqbal Singh alias Vinay, a native of Kiradi Suleman Nagar, New Delhi.
2. Gulshan Kumar alias Monu alias Lefty, a resident of Peeragadhi Camp, New Delhi.
3. Satish Kumar, a resident of Mokampura, Amritsar.
Recoveries
1. Two .30 calibre pistols with 18 live cartridges.
2. A black-colored Scorpio vehicle

Details of the Arrest
1. Iqbal Singh and Gulshan Kumar were apprehended near Dappar, Mohali.
2. Their disclosures led to the subsequent arrest of their associate, Satish Kumar, in Amritsar.
Criminal Background
Preliminary interrogation revealed that the arrested individuals had entered Punjab to execute a high-profile crime. They have extensive criminal records, with multiple cases of heinous crimes registered against them in Haryana and Delhi.
An FIR (No. 173) U/s 25(6)(7) of the Arms Act, dated November 24, 2024, has been registered at Police Station Lalru.
