Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, today visited the famous Jhiri Mela and inspected the arrangements made there for the devotees.
On arriving at the historic Baba Jitto shrine, the Divisional Commissioner paid his obeisance and inaugurated the Dangal organised at the Mela.
At the Mela, the Div Com took a round and inspected the preparations, arrangements made by the respective departments with regard to sanitation, power, water supply and convenience to the devotees.
The Div Com asked the officials deployed for the Jhiri Mela to ensure best possible arrangements for memorable and spiritual experience to the devotees who are arriving in large numbers from within and outside the UT.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner also visited the Bawe Talab, the religious pond where the devotees of Baba Jitto Shrine take holy dip. Deputy Commissioner Jammu, SP Rural, SDM Marh and officers from Civil and police administration were present on the occasion.
