A meeting of District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) on the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Program (JKREGP) was held here today here in the DC Office with Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary (Chairman, DLTFC) in the Chair.
The Committee meeting aimed to address unemployment by fostering local entrepreneurship and employment opportunities under JKREGP, with the J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) as the implementing agency.
Held under the chairmanship of the DDC, the DLTFC committee, comprising (In-charge District Officer, JK KVIB Ramban and Convener of DLTFC), the General Manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC), Lead District Manager of SBI, and Branch Head of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, reviewed a total of 83 applications.
After a thorough process of scrutinization and applicant interaction, 32 applications were approved for sponsorship to banks, marking a crucial step toward supporting new employment ventures in the district. Additionally, 50 applicants were noted absent, and one application was rejected.
