The goal is to ensure travelers have a seamless experience.Mrs. Sawhney also requested a map and budget report for the grand gate to be built in memory of Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia at Ghee Mandi Chowk.
This gate honors the legendary Sikh leader who played a crucial role in the Sikh Confederacy and founded the Kapurthala State in 1772 . DC directed the enhancing cleanliness and painting to preserve the street's historic charm.
SE Mr Sandeep Singh said that the heritage street's maintenance includes painting, already over 50% complete, thanks to Rajya Sabha member Mr. Vikramjit Singh Sawhney's support. Additionally, two golf carts will facilitate pilgrim arrival, and 60 large pots will enhance the street's appearance with planted flowers.
By prioritizing these initiatives, the Amritsar administration aims to protect the city's rich history and cultural significance while ensuring a smooth experience for visitors. Corporation Commissioner Mr. Gulpreet Singh Aulakh was present during the meeting.
