Haryana Health Minister, Aarti Rao today expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi for virtually inaugurating various developmental projects for the Faridabad district on Tuesday.
The list of the projects include upgradation of ESI hospital in Faridabad from 650-bed to 1,150-bed, construction of a new ten-story building, including a basement at the hospital's premises at a cost of Rs. 625 crores, construction of a 15-bed capacity AIIMS CHC in Fatehpur Billoch village and setting up of Center of Excellence on Air Pollution and Health at the AIIMS sub-health center in Ballabhgarh for research purposes.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the 9th Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi laid the foundation and inaugurated health projects worth Rs. 13,000 crores during a grand event held at the All India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi. The programme was broadcasted live via video conferencing at the AIIMS sub-health center in Ballabhgarh.
Ms. Aarti Rao while welcoming the developmental gift received from the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi on the auspicious day of Dhanteras, said that healthcare services in Haryana will be strengthened at the ground level. Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, various welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat are underway in the healthcare sector, she said.
The Minister said that dedicated efforts would be made to ensure that modern healthcare services are available promptly in hospitals in the future. She said that at present, Faridabad has a 650-bed ESI hospital, which has now been expanded by 500 beds, making it an 1,150-bed hospital. She said that the construction of a new building costing Rs. 625 crores will certainly enhance the medical services in Faridabad.
Ms. Aarti Rao shared that a 15-bed CHC will be constructed by AIIMS in Fatehpur Billoch at a cost of around Rs. 20 crores, which will be expanded to a 30-bed facility in the future. The village panchayat has provided 6.5 acres of land for this purpose.The Health Minister said that a Center of Excellence on Air Pollution, worth Rs. 50 lakhs, will be developed at the Ballabhgarh sub-health center.
Former Minister and MLA, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma also praised the Prime Minister's significant expansion in healthcare services. He said that senior citizens over 70 years will be provided medical services up to Rs. 5 lakh for their treatments through Ayushman Bharat and Vandana cards. Besides this, the vaccination program for pregnant women and children has been integrated into the digital U-WIN portal to ensure no vaccine is missed.
