To expedite paddy procurement and lifting in Moga district mandies, MLA Davinderjit Singh Laddi Dhos and Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal inspected Dana Mandies in Dharamkot, Bhodiwala, and other areas. Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Gandhi was also accompanied with them. MLA Laddi Dhos stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has made arrangements to facilitate swift procurement and lifting of paddy.
He assured farmers that the entire district administration is working to ensure hassle-free operations in the markets. He said that there was some problem of lifting in the previous day which has been resolved by the Punjab government and the lifting of the goods purchased by the farmers has now started rapidly.
He said that the agreements with the shellers have also been properly concluded and there is no problem with the transport. He said that the farmers do not have to face any difficulty in the mandis, so the entire district administration is stationed in the mandis and within the coming days complete lifting of paddy will be done from the mandis.
Deputy Commissioner Sarangal directed procurement inspectors to update daily procurement and lifting figures online and offline to monitor each mandi closely. He urged commission agents to encourage farmers to bring dry paddy to mandies and millers to ensure smooth unloading arrangements.
