The Central Bureau of Communication of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India is organizing outreach programs on the theme of welfare schemes of the Government of India at various places across the country, following which, a two-days multimedia exhibition commenced on thursday at Mata Sundri University Girls College, Mansa.

ADC Nirmal Ouseppachan (IAS) graced the occasion as the chief guest. While praising the program, he uttered that the government runs various schemes for the welfare of the common people. Apart from this, he also emphasized on the Clean India movement and said that every citizen should come forward to make it successful.

Addressing from the podium, Gurmeet Singh (IIS), FPO, Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that this multimedia exhibition showcases different welfare schemes of various ministries. Besides this, people are also being made aware about the online frauds, which are on rise these days.

Speaking on this occasion, Principal of the college Mrs. Barinder Kaur said that the college has been instrumental while playing a significant role in making various schemes like Clean India, Fit India successful at the grassroots level. Besides this, she appreciated the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for organizing this program.

In addition to this, Dr. Rupinder Pal Kaur addressed on the topic of Save Girl Child, Manreet Sidhu on Water Protection, Professor Harjeet Singh on Clean India, Amandeep Kaur on Fit India, while the programme was moderated by Dr. Balam.Meanwhile, poster making and essay writing competitions were also organised, in which, students participated actively. 

In the Essay Writing competition, Simarjit Kaur bagged first position, whereas Seema Kaur got second and Nitasha got third position respectively. However, in the Poster Making competition, Renu Bala got first, Khushpreet Kaur got second and Arshdeep Kaur bagged third place.
