Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said  that today is a joyous occasion for the people of Haryana, as Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari, has approved the commencement of work on various highway projects passing through the state. 

He said that approval has been granted to prepare the Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for the construction of approximately a dozen highways.The Chief Minister was interacting with the media persons after a meeting held with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sh Nitin Gadkari regarding various road projects related to Haryana in New Delhi today.

He said that there is no district in Haryana where a four-lane expressway or greenfield expressway does not pass through. A network of roads is being laid continuously with the aim of developing the best infrastructure in Haryana so that the life of the people can be made easy and simple. 

In this context, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sh Nitin Gadkari has given instructions to the officers to prepare DPR and approve various highways.  People will get  benefit of these road projects in the coming time, he added. 

Instructs to prepare DPR for development of Pehowa-Kurukshetra-Yamunanagar Corridor and Ladwa Bypass including Kurukshetra Bypass

Giving information about Haryana's road projects, he said that today the Union Minister has directed the officers to prepare DPR for the development of Pehowa-Kurukshetra-Yamunanagar Corridor and Ladwa Bypass including Kurukshetra Bypass. 

Similarly, on Faridabad-Jewar Green Field Expressway, a modern design will be prepared for the construction of elevated section from km 0 to km 12 in the urban area so that this road can be used for the next 25 to 50 years and there is no traffic jam of any kind. 

He said that entry/exit ramp will be constructed at Mohana village on Faridabad-Jewar Green Field Expressway . Besides  the demand of the villagers living near Mohana village has been fulfilled so that the they can get connectivity on this road.

Instructions to prepare DPR for providing connectivity from Nelson Mandela Marg in Delhi to MG Road and roundabout (Chauraha) of Gurugram and Faridabad Road

Sh Nayab Singh Saini informed that the Union Minister has directed the officers to prepare DPR for providing connectivity from Nelson Mandela Marg in Delhi to MG Road and Chauraha (roundabout) of Gurugram and Faridabad Road to reduce traffic congestion between Gurugram and Delhi. 

This will also help reducing congestion  at Delhi Airport and the beginning of Gurugram. Similarly,  he had a discussion with the Union Minister regarding widening/upgradation of Gurugram-Farrukhnagar-Jhajjar road.

 Consensus reached on providing direct connectivity between KMP and UER-2 (Delhi) by constructing an interchange at the junction of KMP and Bawana-Sonipat Highway

The Chief Minister informed that the relocation of Kherki Dola toll plaza in Gurugram district was also discussed and other arrangements are being considered using modern technology. Similarly, an agreement was reached today to provide direct connectivity between KMP and UER-2 (Delhi) by constructing an interchange at the junction of KMP and Bawana-Sonipat Highway . 

The Union Minister showed interest in the project and directed the Officers to implement it. Similarly, the construction work of flyover at Bilaspur Chowk, Gurugram (NH-48) will be started soon . However repair have been done for the convenience of passengers.

Union Minister directs to prepare DPR for construction of East-West Expressway for Haryana

The Chief Minister informed that the Union Minister has directed to prepare DPR for construction of East-West Expressway (Dabwali to Panipat) for the state of Haryana. He informed that the Haryana section of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway will be inaugurated soon and the Delhi Katra Expressway which is currently starting from KMP will be extended to UER-2 in Delhi.

Instructions to prepare DPR covering the missing point at Saha Chowk, approval to Hisar's ring road

The Chief Minister said that the Union Minister today approved the linking of old NH-73 (new NH-344) from km 118.792 to 125.978 (Saha Bypass) in Ambala district of Haryana . He said that the Union Minister has directed the Officers to prepare a DPR covering the missing point at Saha Chowk. He said that approval has also been given  to prepare a ring road to provide relief to the people from the traffic jam of Hisar.  The DPR of this alternative road will soon be prepared.

On this occasion,  Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Sh Ranbir Gangwa, BJP State President Sh Mohan Lal Badoli, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh  V Umashankar,  Chief Minister’s Principal Advisor (Urban Development) Sh DS Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary Town and  Country Planning Department Sh Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Public Works Department Sh Anurag Aggarwal, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Sh Rajiv Jaitley, Chairman National Highway Authority Sh Santosh Kumar Yadav, officers of Central Government and Haryana Government were also present in the meeting.
