MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla today met Election Observer Harpreet Singh Sudan and DC Sakshi Sahni regarding the rigging that happened everywhere in Panchayat elections. During this, former MLA Sunil Dutti was also present with him. MP Aujla filed a written complaint with the names of the villages and said that if action is not taken according to the law, then he will meet the Congress High Command and approach the High Court.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that there was open rigging in the Panchayat elections. In many villages, their supporters were thrown out of the booth, there was a fight and even bullets were fired. After that, when the time for the result came in the evening, the atmosphere was deliberately made tense. Where his supporters are leading, they are being harassed and are not being given certificates.
MP Aujla said that the Constitution has given the right to vote to the people and it is the duty of the governments to protect this right, but when the same governments are snatching the rights of the people, then the people will definitely give a reply to this in the upcoming elections. He said that by-elections are going to be held soon and the anger of the people in these elections will teach a lesson to the state government.
MP Aujla also reacted to the orders given by Sri Akal Takht Sahib for Virsa Singh Valtoha. He said that he is now reaping the rewards that he had sown. He said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib is the highest Takht of the Sikhs and it does not suit anyone to speak ill against it. He said that many people must have got peace from this decision because people cannot fight such people.
He said that he is very thankful to Sri Akal Takht Sahib who gave such a historic decision and punished him.MP Aujla, while responding to the debate and protest by Aam Aadmi Party leader Talbir Singh Gill with the police, said that drug abuse is definitely prevalent in every household but Talbir Gill should raise his voice against it under the law. Since it is his government, he should draw the attention of the government towards this so that drug abuse can be eradicated.
He said that his own minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal had also said that he will eradicate drug abuse by October, whereas he had challenged him to eradicate it from just one jail. Which did not happen. That is why Talbir Singh Gill should take action against any person who is tainted under the law. It is his own government, so he should take action but should not point fingers at the entire society.
