MLA from Central Assembly constituency Dr Ajay Gupta today inaugurated the development work for construction of roads in Aman Avenue area. He said that no road in the Central Assembly constituency will be left incomplete.
He said that earlier roads have been constructed in Kishan Kot Islamabad, both sides of Haripura Bridge, from Gate Khazana to Nai Sadak, from Katra Karam Singh to Lahori Gate, Peer Shadi Shah Road adjoining Angadh, Bharawa Da Dhaba to Katra Jaimal Singh, Rambagh Chowk, Androon Beri Gate to Khazana Gate and other areas.
He said that in the coming days, the work of laying premix is also going to start on Bhagtawala Telephone Exchange Road. MLA Dr Gupta said that today the work of construction of roads has been started in Aman Avenue area, which was lying in bad condition for a long time. He said that in the coming days, no road will be left incomplete within the walled city.
Nearly 7 km of road has already been constructed by the Municipal Corporation outside the walled city. He said that estimates have been prepared and given to the Municipal Corporation and Improvement Trust for repairing the broken roads in the Central Assembly constituency. The tendering process for which has also started.
He said that these roads will also be constructed in the coming days. MLA Dr Gupta said that he himself is working day and night with his volunteers to provide all facilities to the people. He said that it is taking time to improve what has been done by the previous governments of Punjab.
He said that the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab is committed to providing all facilities to the people. He said that the Punjab government has already released Rs 50 crore for the construction of roads, especially for Amritsar, and another Rs 50 crore is being released in the coming days.
He said that there is no shortage of funds for road construction. On this occasion, Aam Aadmi Party volunteers Vishwa Luthra, Charanjit Singh Channi, JS Rahul, Chirag, Aman Avenue Pradhan Bobby, Municipal Corporation officials and a large number of people were present.
