Story And Screenplay - Shahkot Movie Review
Shahkot is a story of an Indian Punjabi boy Iqbal Singh played by Guru Randhawa who sets on a journey to become rich and fulfil his grandmother's dream. He sets out for Europe but unexpectedly ends up in Pakistan where he falls in Love with the Marvi played by Isha Talwar and people around him. The story is full of surprises, humour, beautiful visuals accompanied with heartwarming songs. Where will this cross border love story between Iqbal and Marvi end will be revealed in the film.
Screenplay by Rajiv Dhingra was exceptional. Audiences didn't even realise when the movie reached its half way mark till the interval logo rolled on the big screens as they were completely into the movie.
Acting - Shahkot Movie Review
Guru Randhawa has surely made a strong debut with his calm and composed character portrayal as Iqbal Singh. His tuning with every character was different which is very much visible in the film. He was accompanied by another debutant Isha Talwar who also did a fair job playing Marvi. She also managed her punjabi speaking skills very well which is difficult for a non punjabi actor to manage.
Words cannot define what Raj Babbar can do and has always been doing for so long. Gurshabad and Neha Dayal played well with the lead characters giving a fresh side to the story.
Hardeep Gill, Seema Kaushal and other prominent actors played their parts well, enhancing the overall experience of the film.
Director & Writer - Shahkot Movie Review
Director & Writer Rajiv Dhingra kept things simple and straight without adding much to the story which looked fresh. He has created a visual treat that captures Punjab across the border. The scenes are drenched in vibrant colours that enhance the mood of every moment. One negative point from his side was he could have created a climax suited for everyone as some were expecting a different ending. A sequel announcement could have summed things up.
Music - Shahkot Movie Review
The soundtrack by Jatinder Shah is one of the film’s greatest strengths, with soulful melodies that perfectly complement the romantic and emotional beats of the narrative. Gurdas Maan vocals after credits roll summed up the musical fest on a high.
Our Rating
Team 5 Dariya News gives 4 stars to Shahkot Movie. Deducting a star because of climax issues which could have been managed better.
Conclusion - Shahkot Movie Review
In conclusion, "Shahkot Movie" is a visually stunning, emotionally resonant film that will stay with you long after the credits roll. With standout performances, a soul-stirring soundtrack, it’s a cinematic experience not to be missed.
