Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda was warmly welcomed by BJP's Chandigarh State President Jatinder Pal Malhotra on his arrival in Panchkula. On this occasion, a special discussion was held on the improvement and upgradation of the health sector of Chandigarh.

Jatinder Pal Malhotra, while discussing with the Union Minister, said there is a need to upgrade the health infrastructure of Chandigarh, so that the quality and availability of health services can be improved. He stressed that better health services will not only be beneficial for the citizens of Chandigarh, but it can also emerge as a regional health centre, which will also benefit the citizens of neighboring states.

Malhotra said it is very important to equip the health sector in Chandigarh with modern facilities and new technologies so that the citizens can get high quality health services. This will have a direct impact on the working and efficiency of the health system here, which will benefit every section.

He urged the Union Minister to take necessary steps in this direction so that Chandigarh can be made one of the leading health centers of the country. JP Nadda appreciated the suggestions to strengthen health services in Chandigarh and assured the central government will provide all possible cooperation in this direction.
